Coach Matt Daly - Varsity
Profile: Coach Matt Daly is a native of Hendricks, Minnesota. At Lincoln High School, Matt was a four year varsity starter achieving All-Conference and All-Area status from 1997-2001. Matt was All-State in 2000 and 2001, and was Minnesota Class A Player of the Year in 2001. Matt ended his career as the all-time leading scorer at Lincoln High with 1,850 points. After graduation, Matt played four years of Division II college basketball at Augustana College and Southwest Minnesota State University. Coach Daly graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Secondary Education. Upon graduation Matt taught for four years at Redwood Valley High School where he served as assistant boy's basketball, head girls track, and head girls basketball coach. Coach Daly led the Cardinals to a sub-section championship in 2010 and the best win-loss record since 1979. Matt has been active in the last ten years coaching with the Dakota Schoolers basketball organization and TIBBETTS Basketball Academy in Sioux Falls. Matt is currently teaching World History, Early History of Mankind, and Psychology at Lincoln High School. In 2015, Coach Daly fulfilled his Masters Degree in History with high honors at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
Coach Blake Bradfield - Junior Varsity
Profile: Blake Bradfield is a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from Washington High School where he played football, basketball, and tennis. In basketball, Blake was a starter for the 2001 State Championship Warriors basketball team. Blake received MVP honors in the state championship game. In tennis, Coach Bradfield was a two-time Singles State Tennis Champion, and a Doubles State Champion as part of a Warrior team that won two consecutive state titles in 2000 and 2001. Coach Bradfield went on to play Varsity Men’s Tennis at the University of Sioux Falls where his team qualified for NAIA Nationals on two occasions. Blake has served as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at O’Gorman High School from 2006-2016. During that time, the Knights qualified for state tournament appearances on eight occasions and emerged as State AA Champions five times. Additionally, Coach Bradfield has had extensive coaching experience in AAU basketball, coaching for the Dakota Blue Devils, Dakota Schoolers, and SD Attack. Coach Bradfield earned his Elementary Education Degree at the University of Sioux Falls. In addition to his coaching duties with the Lady Patriots Basketball Program, he currently serves as a Tier 2 classroom teacher at Hayward Elementary School in the Sioux Falls School District.
Coach Scott Amundson - Sophomores
Profile: An all over South Dakotan, Coach Scott Amundson was born in Pierre, but attended school in Lead, South Dakota. At Lead High School, Scott participated in football, basketball, track, and golf. After graduation, Coach Amundson enrolled at Southwest State University and played basketball there prior to transferring to Augustana College. In 1999, he began teaching in the Sioux Falls School District at Joe Foss School. After four years as a volunteer assistant with the boys program at Lincoln, Scott entered the girls program prior to the season in 2002. Scott has been the freshman and junior varsity coach the past 12 seasons. Coach Amundson was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for 2013. Scott is currently teaching World History and American History at Lincoln High. He lives in Sioux falls with his wife Shelly and three children Seth, Kate, and Ryan.
Coach Derrick Dunn - Freshmen
Profile: Coach Derrick Dunn is a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from Roosevelt High School where he played football and basketball. In football, Dunn was a starter for the 2006 and 2007 State Championship Rider football teams. Coach Dunn went on to play college football at Augustana University for one year. Dunn then transferred to Dakota Wesleyan University where he joined the Tiger Women's Basketball Program as the Head Junior Varsity coach and Assistant Varsity coach. Dunn spent three seasons at Dakota Wesleyan and also helped run various camps and youth leagues while in Mitchell, SD. Coach Dunn has had extensive coaching experience in AAU basketball while also running multiple individual and team camps throughout the area. Dunn earned his Sports Management and Business Administration Degree at Dakota Wesleyan University. In addition to his coaching duties with the Lady Patriots Basketball Program, he is a Behavioral Specialist at Horace Mann Elementary School in the Sioux Falls School District. He lives in Sioux Falls with his wife Kim.
Coach Crysta Dendinger - Volunteer Assistant
Profile: Crysta Dendinger is a Sioux Falls native and Lincoln High School graduate returning to coach her first season with the Lady Pats. She helped the Patriots win a state championship in volleyball her senior year (2010-11) and graduated in the top 20 of her class for academics. Her first year of college was spent studying international business and Chinese at the University of Denver’s Daniel’s College of Business before she transferred to South Dakota State University in the fall of 2012. At SDSU she became a student assistant coach for the women’s basketball program for two years during which the Jackrabbits won consecutive Summit League Championships and appeared in the NCAA March Madness tournament. In May of 2015 she graduated from SDSU summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Geography, minor in broadcast journalism, and coaching certificate. She currently substitute teaches for the Sioux Falls School District. Her future plans include pursuing a Master’s of Education to teach full-time and continuing to coach at the interscholastic level.
Coach Katie Schlemmer - Volunteer Assistant
Profile: Coach Katie Schlemmer is a Sioux Falls native, graduating from Lincoln High School in 2009. She was a four-year letter winner in basketball and volleyball for the Pats and has degrees in Nursing and Mathematics from Augustana University. Katie is now working as a nurse at Avera McKennan Hospital. She was an assistant volleyball coach at Lincoln for three years and has recently started working with the Lincoln basketball program.
